Pre-Health Professions

Welcome Pre-Health Professional Students!

The curriculum offered through the Biology degree pathways in the Natural Sciences department is designed to prepare students to enter a wide variety of professional programs, including Medicine, Dentistry, Chiropractic and more.

Students interested in applying for Medical or Dental school are encouraged to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biology. This degree plan includes coursework that is required for these professional programs, but also provides coursework that expands on important topics in these fields.

Students interested in applying for other health professions careers are encouraged to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. These professions include but are not limited to Optometry, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, and Chiropractic. This degree plan is much more flexible, allowing students to meet prerequisites for their unique program while also pursuing coursework in other disciplines.
