On Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22, Prosperity Bank will partner with Lubbock Christian University and Covenant Health System to proudly present the Distinguished Speaker Series with internationally renowned holistic nursing pioneer, Dr. Barbara Dossey. Dr. Dossey will be speaking on Florence Nightingale--the philosophical founder of modern nursing—and be asking the question, how can we weave together Nightingale’s legacy, science, and art to increase our understanding of being a nurse and a citizen activist?
On Thursday from 1:00 p.m.– 5:00 p.m., Dr. Dossey will speak to nursing students and RNs needing contact hours, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center exhibit hall. For those requesting contact hours, the cost is $40. Other attendees may enter at no cost. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a book signing with Dr. Dossey following her presentation.
On Friday from 7:30a.m.-12noon, Dr. Dossey will give the same presentation at the Baker Conference Center on Lubbock Christian University’s campus. Breakfast will be served prior to Dr. Dossey’s presentation with a book signing to conclude the morning. Friday’s opportunity is reserved for professional nurses, nursing faculty, and administrators. The cost for Friday’s event is $60.
