LCU Appoints Rory Waide Chief Financial Officer

Lubbock Christian University has appointed Rory Waide as their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President of Financial Affairs beginning July 1. Prior to accepting this position, Waide served as the Executive Director of Accounting and Budgeting for Oklahoma Christian University, where he was responsible for overseeing all budgeting and accounting functions. Waide previously spent more than seven years as the controller for Greater Atlanta Christian Schools.

President Perrin addresses this appointment, “Rory is uniquely prepared for this role in many ways and brings with him excellent technical skills, strong leadership ability, and a deep commitment to LCU’s mission. I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside him as together we work to secure LCU’s great promise.”

Waide is a certified public accountant and an LCU alumnus, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1993. He has more than 13 years of experience in the public accounting sector, including tenures with accounting firms in Lubbock and Levelland.

“I’m very excited to be returning to my alma mater,” Waide comments, “to serve alongside a great team of faithful individuals that strive daily to make LCU a better place, and strive to have a meaningful impact on every student that calls LCU home. I thank God for this opportunity, and will do my best to be a faithful steward for LCU.”

Waide’s financial experience and passion for a Christian education make him a vital addition to the LCU community.
