This summer, in addition to the traditional camps hosted by Lubbock Christian University, a week of art lessons will be available for youth at the second Get smART Camp.
Get smART will be held on Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18. Campers aged 8-14 will take lessons in clay, oil pastel-watercolor resist drawings, sculpture, collage, and glass etching from 10 am until 12 noon each day in the Diana Ling Center for Academic Achievement building on the LCU campus. Art produced by the campers throughout the week will be displayed in an exhibition on Friday, July 18, from 5:30-6:30 pm.
Art lessons will be taught by LCU pre-service art educators and based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for art. Register for Get smART Camp
