The LCU Lady Chaps Are the NCAA Division II National Champions!

The undefeated Lady Chaps complete a storybook season with a 78-73 win over University of Alaska Anchorage at the NCAA Div. II National Championship, earning LCU's first national women's basketball title in school history.

The Lady Chaps are now 35-0 and only the third team in NCAA Division II history to complete a perfect season, and the only team to win a National Championship in their first year of eligibility.

More than 500 fans made the trip from Lubbock to Indianapolis to support the Lady Chaps in the championship game, and nearly 1500 students, faculty, staff, and fans packed the Rip Griffin Center on LCU's campus to cheer on the Lady Chaps.

Congratulations, Ladies!
