Passionately Pursuing Student Success
At LCU your professors will not only be knowledgeable scholars, proficient in their respective fields of study, but also caring servants who support your success in all areas of life.

Dr. Jesse Long's introduction to his life-long pursuit of Hebrew narrative and biblical archaeology began in his Old Testament graduate studies at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.

An accomplished author and engaging instructor at LCU, Dr. Jesse Long finds time to guide tours through the Holy Land, sharing his love of scripture history as he goes. His expertise has allowed LCU to sponsor excavations at the site of Khirbet Iskander, Jordan, one of the best examples of a multiphase, permanently established Early Bronze IV (2300-2000 B.C.E.) settlement. He is well respected as a scholar, speaker, and mentor.

Dr. Jesse and his wife Dr. JoAnn are the parents of two married daughters and the grandparents of two boys.
