Student Art Association

The Student Art Association has been in existence at LCU since 2002. Its purpose is to promote visual arts on campus and in the community. The organization hopes to not only raise awareness about art, but also to build the communities’ knowledge about the excellence of the LCU Art program. The SAA includes art majors as well as students outside the art program who are interested in promoting the visual arts at LCU. SAA events have included promotion of LCU art student exhibitions, volunteering at regional Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), community art lessons for kids, art trips, and the Art Studio open house known as SMASH (Second Monday Art Studio Happening).
