General Observation Legacy Church of Christ is a large, suburban church of around 1000 members in North Richland Hills, TX, in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. As stated in our Vision, Legacy is a community where people are valued and encouraged to be like Jesus; the Mission in doing this is to Value our neighbors, Move into our community, and Grow spiritually, as we Strive to be like Jesus.
The role of every minister at Legacy is to seek out opportunities to minister and connect with people. We see the Connections Minister as someone who has a strong work ethic and is energized by connecting people with people and creating opportunities for faith development to occur. The CM will strive to connect people more closely and personally to Christ, both in thought and in action.
Key Pillars of the Connections Ministers’ Role:
> To guide and direct the new-comer’s journey. The Connections Minister will serve as a staff leader in creating a welcoming experience for new members or for those visiting our services. The CM will work with our guest experience teams that are already in place to ensure this welcoming experience.
> To work alongside our Small Groups’ leaders, ensuring a successful and thriving Small Group ministry.
> To coordinate and inspire our deacons and ministry leaders, acting as a resource for ideas, encouragement and guidance and developing leaders as the need arises.
> To create environments and systems that are conducive for connecting people to people and to ministry. The CM should be motivated to identify barriers to the Church success and find ways to solve them. To be willing to act as a team player when needs arise for preaching, teaching, funerals, hospital visits and event planning.
