Job Description: The Lead Student Minister develops the programs, recruits the volunteers and manages the operational aspects of an effective, growing student ministry. He ensures effective educational programs and activities that develop the spiritual growth of Legacy teens. Within these priorities, the Lead Student Minister works with our elders and ministry staff to ensure his ministry optimally aligns with and engages the Legacy vision of valuing our neighbors, moving in the community, and encouraging our students to become more like Christ.
Job Requirements: Our Lead Student Minister will have:
1. A healthy, Christ-centered marriage (if married)
2. A bachelor's degree in ministry or related field
3. A connection with and inspiration from Legacy's mission to reach our community through the transforming power of God's Word and the love of Jesus
4. A recognition of and commitment to acapella worship
5. Preferred to have experience as a successful youth minister or success with working with youth in other settings but not required.
6. Preferred to have had ministry experience in a church but not required.
7. Preferred to have an understanding and appreciation for the heritage of the Churches of Christ.
