Biography

Dr. Chris Hennington completed his BA in Psychology at Lubbock Christian University, Master's in educational psychology, a Master's in Counseling at Texas Tech University, and Ph.D. in Counselor Education at Texas Tech University. Dr. Hennington serves LCU as an associate professor in Counseling and Psychology. He has been the director of the school counseling program since 2012 and serves as the CMHC counseling program coordinator. His specialization is school counseling, child and adolescent counseling and ethics. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC-Supervisor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Certified School Counselor. He has previously worked as a supervisor for Richard Milburn Academy and helped jumpstart the program between RMA and LCU. Dr. Hennington worked at Sunrise Canyon Hospital, was a school counselor in LISD and special education counselor at Slaton ISD.
