Biography

Perry Sims graduated from Abilene Christian University with a BA in Government, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. He is a member of the California and Texas Bar Associations, and admitted to practice in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of California. He spent several years as a Deputy District Attorney for Sacramento, prior to returning to his home state of Texas in 2004. He was the First Assistant District Attorney for Brown County for several years, and then prior to joining the LCU faculty, he was part of the Border Prosecution Unit as an Assistant District Attorney for the 452nd District Attorney’s Office. Dr. Sims is married to Audrey, and they have four children, and two grandchildren.
