Teaching in the graduate counseling program at LCU enables me to bring my clinical experience into the classroom. I maintain a private practice in which I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders and related issues such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and self-harm in adolescents and adults.
An integrative, holistic approach to treatment best describes my work, integrating cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and mindfulness based approaches. In addition, I have extensive experience with EMDR treatment for trauma.

My research interests include parenting, phototherapy, eating disorders, counselor development and the application of meditation and mindfulness in counseling and development.

Graduates from LCU's counseling program benefit from working closely with faculty in clinical and research capacities. The small class size enables our faculty to develop mentoring relationships with our graduate students. Students are encouraged by a Christian faculty to explore the impact of faith on their future counseling practice.
