Lubbock Christian University is pleased to announce its second Get smART Camp on Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18. The camp will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon, in the Diana Ling Center for Academic Success, room 142, on the LCU campus.

Students, age 8-14 are invited to enjoy lessons in clay, oil pastel-watercolor resist drawings, sculpture, collage, and glass etching.

There will be an exhibition of the students’ art on Friday, July 18, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Get sm’ART Camp is sponsored by the LCU Student Art Association.


The art camp includes discipline-based art education lessons (which include studio art, art history, art criticism, and aesthetics) taught by LCU pre-service art educators. These art lessons are based in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for art.
