The stated mission of the ElderLink ministry is to “equip, encourage and link those who serve as leaders in Churches of Christ, through collaborative relationships, informative resources, and shared learning opportunities.” While the name suggests that it is geared only for elders, that is not correct. This one day seminar is open to ministers, deacons, spouses, and all types of ministry leaders who could improve leadership skill and, most importantly, experience much-needed spiritual refreshment.

ElderLink was started by LCU alum and longtime ACU professor, Dr. Charles Siburt. Our one day event on March 1 is the result of collaboration between LCU and ACU to bring this most excellent resource to the Panhandle of West Texas. The South Plains Church of Christ has graciously made their building available for this event.

The theme for this year’s seminar is Church Next. We will be focusing on a number of challenges our churches face as we seek to be faithful in bearing witness to the gospel in our culture.

The lineup for this event is stellar.

Our plenary speakers are:

  • Ken Durham – Lipscomb Baxter Chair of Preaching (Nashville, Tennessee)
  • Randy Harris – ACU College of Biblical Studies (Abilene, Texas)

Our breakout speakers are:

  • Jeff Cary – LCU Associate Professor of Theology (Lubbock, Texas)
  • David Langford – Quaker Avenue Church of Christ Minister and Elder (Lubbock, Texas)
  • Royce Money – ACU Siburt Institute for Church Ministry (Abilene, Texas)
