Acceptance in the Honors College is based on the following criteria:

Entering first-year college students

  • ACT composite score of 27 or higher, or SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Math score of 1280 or higher
  • Completion of the Honors College application

Transfer students

  • ACT composite score of 27 or higher, or SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Math score of 1280 or higher, and an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher 
  • Completion of online Honors College application

Current students

  • ACT composite score of 25 or higher, or SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Math score of 1220 or higher
  • Written recommendation of a faculty member to the Honors College dean
  • Online application essay
  • And completion of the Honors College application

Honors College Application

The Honors College accepts applications on a year-round basis, and students accepted in the program receive the basic Honors scholarship. To be considered for additional Honors scholarship awards, applications must be received by the priority deadline of March 1.
