Position: Tenure-track faculty position in Management, nine-month appointment (with potential summer employment)

School of Business:

The LCU School of Business offers bachelor’s programs in Accounting, AgriBusiness, Economics, Finance, Marketing, General Business, Management, Managerial Leadership (online) and Integrated Business Technologies. The Integrated Business Technologies programs offer bachelor’s degrees in Information Systems and Technology, Management of Information Systems, Web Design and Digital Media Applications. The School of Business also offers a Master of Accounting program. The School of Business is the largest academic area at LCU with 260+ students and is accredited by ACBSP.

Major Responsibilities:

Applicants must be committed to undergraduate education and show promise of becoming an exceptional teacher who values mentoring and advising students. A normal teaching load is twelve-hours per semester. This position would be teaching Management classes in a traditional setting as well as on-line in the Managerial Leadership program which is focused on adult learners and is offered exclusively online. Scholarly activity, service, and other responsibilities as assigned are also expected of the successful applicant.

In addition, successful applicants will be expected to:

  • Advise and mentor students.
  • Work cooperatively with a small, dedicated, and close-knit faculty and staff
  • Participate in department class scheduling.
  • Assist with program assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum review and integration.
  • Possess and exhibit qualities of professionalism, integrity, self-motivation.

 

Qualifications:

An earned doctorate in Business Management or a related field is preferred. Persons without a doctorate but with a master’s degree, relevant experience, and a commitment to pursue a doctorate in Management

or a related field may be considered. A successful candidate will have prior teaching experience at the university level including both traditional and online delivery and be able to provide evidence of experience in Management, Leadership, Business Strategy, Organizational Behavior, or Human Resources. All qualified applicants must be professing Christians and be willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university.
