Lubbock Christian University

The University Honors College promotes scholarly excellence, and Honors students are encouraged to take advantage of various opportunities to enhance their education and improve their postgraduate options.

Scholars Colloquium: An interdisciplinary, campus-wide forum that showcases student and faculty research. Students typically work with professors to develop class research papers or projects for colloquium presentations.

Undergraduate Research: Student and faculty collaborative research and scholarship. Undergraduate Research greatly enhances student learning through mentoring relationships with faculty.

National Conference on Undergraduate Research: Annual student conference dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activity in all fields of study. This gathering of young scholars welcomes presenters from institutions of higher learning from all corners of the academic curriculum.

Oxford Summer Program:  Scholarship and Christianity in Oxford.  One Honors student is selected annually to study at Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford, in association with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

LCU Washington: Semester internships in Washington, D.C. for all academic disciplines.  Students work fulltime and complete professional development related assignments, receiving 12-15 hours of credit in the long semesters and 6-9 credits in the summer program.

LCU Global CampusStudy abroad opportunities in Europe, Africa, and South America.  Short-term mission and service experiences, summer internships, and semester-long programs are available, including LCU’s semester in Avila, Spain.
