The Student Art Education Association (SAEA) strives to promote visual arts and art education both on campus and in the community. Our organization hopes to not only raise awareness about art, but also to build the community’s knowledge about the excellence of the LCU Art Education program. SAEA encourages students to become active members of Texas Art Educators Association (TAEA) both now and in the future.

SAEA partners with Student Senate for activities and exhibits in association with Creative Arts Week and Out of the Darkness Week. We’ve hosted exhibits of student art, and have sponsored the Get sm’ART! and April Art Camps for children in the Lubbock area. We also occasionally take museum and gallery trips to places like Dallas and Santa Fe.

SAEA is open to anyone interested in advancing the visual arts on campus and in the community, who are enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours. We meet once a month and hope you will join us!
