Give the gift of higher education. Undergraduate scholarships help students pay for their education. Unlike loans, they do not have to be repaid.
Endowed scholarship funds are made possible by the generosity of our friends and alumni. As permanent funds, they are critical to LCU because they generate income for scholarships permanently. An endowed scholarship can be established with a minimum gift of $10,000.00.
Endowed gifts use your investment in LCU to establish a fund, the interest from which is used to support a purpose of your choosing. That purpose could be a program, a scholarship or a professorship. Endowed gifts typically bear the donor's name, celebrating your commitment to and support of LCU.
Planned gifts allow you to make a generous gift to LCU, arrange for lifetime income for yourself or a beneficiary, and accrue significant tax benefits. To find out more about making a planned gift to LCU, Contact Larry Dennis at 800.933.7601 or visit LCU's Planned Giving Web site.
Many businesses generously match all or part of their employees' charitable contributions. Ask your human resources department or that of your spouse if they will match your gift to Lubbock Christian University.
Pledging an amount now and spreading payments over time allows you to make a more generous gift.
Long-term, appreciated stocks and securities are almost always an excellent way to provide financial support. They can be used to support the annual fund or in establishing planned giving arrangements and provide a double benefit to you- a current income tax deduction and avoidance of capital gains taxes.
In the spirit of true chaparral generosity many donors establish gifts to honor a loved one or special mentor, professor or friend. These unique gifts not only provide essential support for LCU, but also ensure the honorees' legacy will endure forever at Lubbock Christian University.
