On Saturday, Sept 22, the 2008 Lubbock Christian University softball team will be inducted into the LCU Athletics Hall of Honor at the annual induction banquet. Tickets to the banquet are open to the public and can be purchased for $25.
The team will be the third team inducted to the Hall, joining the 1983 baseball team and the 1990-91 men's cross country team. Since the Hall was introduced in 1984, 67 individuals have been inducted in addition to the two teams.
Additionally, several other events through the weekend will celebrate the induction:
- On Friday, Sept. 21, a Home Run Derby will take place at Plains Capital Park involving members of the 2008 team.
- An alumni game welcoming all former Lady Chaps softball members will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at Plains Capital Park.
