The Lubbock Christian University (LCU) theatre department will present their spring production, Murder by the Book, on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1 at 7:30pm in the CDC Theatre on the LCU campus.

Written by Duncan Greenwood and Robert King, Murder by the Book is peppered with crisp, witty exchanges in this lighthearted and inventive thriller that unfolds with a series of macabre twists. A thriller writer indulges in vitriolic word duels with his estranged wife until she shoots him. More deadly games are in store when the corpse rises, and the tables are turned more than once for the victim and the killers.

The show director, Dr. Laurie Doyle, Helen DeVitt Jones Endowed Chair of Fine Arts, has served at LCU since 1983. To date she has served as Director, Music Director, or Assistant Director of over 75 musicals and stage productions at LCU. Doyle shared, “Murder by the Book is a delightful romp! The characters are fun, and you never know what will happen next. The cast is led by Joshua Dansby and Willow Walton. Josiah Branch, Myles Williams, and Elynna Estaban round out the cast. You don’t want to miss this delightful 'who-done-it!'”

The community is invited to take part in a night of laughter and suspense with Murder by the Book. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door the night of the performance, at $10 for students and $15 for adults.
