Lubbock Christian University (LCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh Clem as Vice President for University Advancement. With over 20 years of experience in fundraising, ministry, and leadership, Clem brings a passionate commitment to Christ-centered higher education.

A native of Greenville, Texas, Clem is a graduate of Crowley’s Ridge College (2000) and Harding University (2002), where he earned a B.B.A. in Professional Sales. His professional journey began with Hormel Foods, but he quickly followed a calling into nonprofit work and ministry.

Clem began his development career at Boles Children’s Home, where he and his wife Tiffany served as house parents before he transitioned into the role of Director of Development & Public Relations. Following a merger with Medina Children’s Home to form Arms of Hope, the Clems relocated to San Antonio to continue their work with the newly formed organization.

He later became Director of Development for the Arkansas Tech University (ATU) Foundation. There, Clem played a key role in successfully completing a historic $55 million comprehensive campaign and launched the Friends of Music program to support the arts within the university. He also worked closely with both the College of Education and Health and College of Arts & Humanities.

“I am incredibly honored and humbled to join Lubbock Christian University in this new season,” Clem said. “LCU’s deep commitment to Christ-centered education and transformational influence with college-aged students resonates deeply with my heart and calling. I look forward to building meaningful relationships and helping steward the mission of LCU through advancement work that impacts lives for generations to come.”

Clem has been married to his wife, Tiffany, for 24 years and they have two daughters, Katie and Lily.

“We are thrilled to welcome Josh Clem to our leadership team,” said Dr. Scott McDowell, President of Lubbock Christian University. “He’s a native Texan who has a heart for transforming the lives of students along with a deep experience in advancement.  In addition to all of that he is just the kind of person that you enjoy being around.  His personal walk with the Lord overflows in authentic ways that will help him be a mentor and role model for our students and a phenomenal spokesperson for our institutional values. He is an ideal fit for LCU as we move forward in fulfilling our mission and continuing to forge relationships with an ever-growing network of alumni and friends.”
