The LCU Fall 2024 graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies will be combined into one ceremony on Saturday, December 14.
Commencement
The ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Rip Griffin Center. Watch on Youtube
Rehearsal:
- 8:30 a.m. — Rehearsal for all students graduating students. Escorts for undergraduates will also need to attend the rehearsal. Doors will open for guests at 9:20 a.m.
Apply for Graduation
Parking for undergraduate commencement is available at the RIP and at the Katie Rogers residence hall. Additional parking for graduate commencement is available at the McDonald Moody and at the Green Lawn Church of Christ. Some guests choose to park along residential streets, we simply ask you be mindful of blocking driveways.
- The form to order graduation regalia is attached with the graduation application form.
- Undergraduate regalia includes: blue gown, hat, tassel, and hood.
- Undergraduate escorts will wear a white gown, no hat. Each undergraduate must have an escort. Graduate level graduates do not have escorts. Escorts are typically someone who has had significant influence in the life of the graduating student. Escorts must be at least 13 years of age.
- Plus sizes and children's sizes are available. Contact the Chap Store for details.
- Graduates will be notified through All Student Emails and Announcements when regalia is ready to pick-up. It is usually ready 1-2 weeks before the ceremony.
- Graduates will receive a letter in the mail from Balfour and from LCU with a form to order graduation invitations.

Photographs: A photographer will be present to take candidate’s pictures, and we are asking that no one else be down front for photography purposes—please communicate this to your families. You may take pictures at any time before or after the ceremony
