Commencement Update

The LCU graduation ceremonies scheduled for May 8 & 9, 2020 have been rescheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2020.

Due to state and local restrictions and the great interest from graduating students and their families for our postponed commencement, LCU will be hosting two ceremonies in the Rip Griffin Center on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Two ceremonies will allow for social distancing, will keep us under the threshold of 50% occupancy in the venue, and will provide the opportunity for all those who registered to participate. All participants and guests are required to wear face coverings.

August 22, 2020

10:00 a.m. Ceremony – for students (both graduate and undergraduate) graduating from the Ward Lane College of Professional Studies and the School of Business

2:00 p.m. Ceremony – for students (both graduate and undergraduate) graduating from the Al and Pat Smith College of Biblical Studies, the Hancock College of Liberal Arts, and the School of Education

Each student graduating with a master’s degree will be allowed four guests.  Each student graduating with a bachelor’s degree will have an escort and be allowed four guests.  Tickets for guests will be mailed before July 31 to the address provided on the commencement registration completed online earlier this summer.

Both of the commencement ceremonies will be streamed live at LCU.edu/Live
