John received his bachelors degree in Youth Ministry from Abilene Christian University in 2001 and earned a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University in 2012. He moved to Lubbock in 2002 when he began his work with Lubbock County Juvenile Justice, most recently as an Assistant Facility Administrator. John married his college sweetheart, Jessica, a Lubbock native, in 2000 and they have since been blessed with three children: Ethan, Nolan, and Aubrey. John absolutely adores his family and enjoys every minute spent with them. John stands firmly on the promise that God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves received from our Father (2 Corinthians 1:4).
