The Student Investment Group gives LCU students the rare opportunity to manage real investment capital while learning the responsibility, discipline, and stewardship required in financial decision-making. Through hands-on portfolio management, students develop practical investing experience while helping build a long-term source of scholarships and opportunities for future College of Business students.
By participating in SIG, students gain experience in:
- Equity research and portfolio management
- Investment presentations and professional communication
- Risk and return analysis
- Financial stewardship and ethical decision-making
SIG also encourages students to think critically about stewardship, integrity, discipline, and long-term decision-making. Students understand that they are managing resources entrusted to them by donors, alumni, and supporters who believe in their growth and potential.
Gifts to the Student Investment Group help provide:
- Future scholarships
- Investment capital for hands-on student learning
- Access to financial research and analytics tools
- Student travel to conferences and industry visits
- Networking and professional development opportunities
- Long-term growth of the investment fund
Every contribution helps expand opportunities for current and future LCU students.
