Scholarships to Support
This scholarship was established in 2019 in honor of Katherine King Brimberry, Lubbock Christian College, Alumna 1968, professional artist and owner of Flatbed Press, Austin TX for her life-long contribution to making art. It is the desire of the donors to provide scholarships for students majoring in art, printmaking, and art related degrees at LCU.
Friends and family of Ruth Childre established this scholarship in honor of Ruth Childre. Ruth was an artist for 75 years and taught Sunday school classes for over 30 years. It is the Donor's desire that this scholarship provide financial assistance for Lubbock Christian University students who major in the LCU Art Department or the LCU Children's Ministry Program.
Michelle and Albert Kraft, and Laura Cutshall, children of Hugh Thomas Massey Jr., established this scholarship in 2010 in his memory. Tommy earned his BA in Art and instilled in his children a love for art. It is the desire of the Donors to provide funding for a student in the field of art education.
This scholarship was set up by Troy Randolph in 2008 in memory of Velma Randolph and R.E. and Juanita Pollard, LCU art professors in the 1960's. It is the desire of the donor to provide scholarship for students majoring in the Art Department at Lubbock Christian University.
The scholarship was established through the generosity of an anonymous donor in honor of J. Lee Roberts, Professor Emeritus at Lubbock Christian University. It is the desire of the Donor for this endowment to provide support for students majoring in art at Lubbock Christian University.
The scholarship was established by Gary Hughes in honor of John Copeland and Tim Duncan, Lubbock Christian University's basketball coaches. It is the desire of the Donor for this scholarship to provide support for members of the LCU Men's Varsity Basketball team.
This scholarship was set up by J.E. and Megan Bundy and Heather and Matthew Byars in honor of Duane and Sammie Johnson. Duane and Sammie were avid fans of the LCU Athletics. It was set up in 2017 and will provide financial assistance to students in the LCU Athletics program.
The Self Family established this scholarship in memory of J.L. and Faye Self in 2016. J.L. Self was an avid baseball fan and was the catcher for the Jets in the “Old Irrigation League.†It is the desire of the Donors to provide financial aid to preferably a catcher, or to other baseball positions at Lubbock Christian University.
This scholarship was established by friends and family of Orfila E. Banda. This scholarship seeks to support student(s) who have shown leadership qualities and exhibit a heart for bilingual ministry and are studying in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies.
This scholarship was established by Randy Rea and Carol (Bennett) Rea in memory of Henry & Nita Bennett. It is the desire of the donors to provide support to students at Lubbock Christian University who demonstrate merit, need and are studying Ministry in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies.
This scholarship was established in 2007 by friends and family in memory of Dr. Larry Boyer. Dr. Boyer sought to encourage young men to strengthen their life of Christian service and served as a mentor and friend for many young Christian leaders. It is the desire of the donors to provide support for young men who show an aptitude for Christian leadership.
This scholarship was established by Carla Chance and Cathy Privitt in memory of Gordon Cargill. Mr. Cargill was a faithful and dedicated employee of Lubbock Christian University for seventeen years. In that time, Gordon modeled a faithful servant of Jesus Christ; influencing students, staff, and faculty with his words and deeds. It is the desire of the donors for this scholarship to provide support for students in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies.
This scholarship was established in 2017 by the James A. "Buddy" Davidson Charitable Foundation to provide financial assistance to Lubbock Christian University Youth and Family Ministry majors in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies.

It is the desire of the donors for this scholarship to provide support for Bible majors in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies that are from the tri-state area; i.e. Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

It is the desire of the donors to provide support for education and mission or bible majors in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies who demonstrate financial need.
This scholarship was established in 2006 by Jennean Hise in memory of her husband, Bobby Hise. Mr. Hise was in full-time ministry for forty-two years, and his family wish his influence to continue through the awarding of this scholarship. It is the desire of the donor for this scholarship to provide support for freshman youth ministry majors in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies who demonstrate financial need.
This scholarship was established in 2006 by friends of Gerald and Marjorie to honor the couple for their lives of service in God's Kingdom through Christian education. Dr. Kendrick was on the first faculty at Lubbock Christian College as a Greek and Bible teacher. It is the desire of the donors for this scholarship to provide support to students in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies.
This scholarship was established in honor of Vaughn & Betty Herrold and Mike & Carol Myers for their lifetime devotion to Christianity. It is the desire of the donors for this scholarship to provide support to Lubbock Christian University students who are studying Christian ministries in the Alfred and Patricia Smith College of Biblical Studies, with the intent of working in the Christian ministry field after leaving Lubbock Christian University.

Tracy taught at Lubbock Christian University from 1994-2020 and served as Dean of the LCU School of Business since 2015, having a tremendous impact on the lives of students over the past 3 decades. This scholarship will provide support to qualified students studying in the LCU School of Business.

"Rusty" Ladd. Rusty was an LCU graduate, former police officer, prosecutor, and Lubbock County Court at Law Judge.
