Scholarships to Support
This scholarship was established in 2019 in honor of Katherine King Brimberry, Lubbock Christian College, Alumna 1968, professional artist and owner of Flatbed Press, Austin TX for her life-long contribution to making art. It is the desire of the donors to provide scholarships for students majoring in art, printmaking, and art related degrees at LCU.
Friends and family of Ruth Childre established this scholarship in honor of Ruth Childre. Ruth was an artist for 75 years and taught Sunday school classes for over 30 years. It is the Donor's desire that this scholarship provide financial assistance for Lubbock Christian University students who major in the LCU Art Department or the LCU Children's Ministry Program.
Michelle and Albert Kraft, and Laura Cutshall, children of Hugh Thomas Massey Jr., established this scholarship in 2010 in his memory. Tommy earned his BA in Art and instilled in his children a love for art. It is the desire of the Donors to provide funding for a student in the field of art education.

This scholarship was set up by J.E. and Megan Bundy and Heather and Matthew Byars in honor of Duane and Sammie Johnson. Duane and Sammie were avid fans of the LCU Athletics. It was set up in 2017 and will provide financial assistance to students in the LCU Athletics program.
The Self Family established this scholarship in memory of J.L. and Faye Self in 2016. J.L. Self was an avid baseball fan and was the catcher for the Jets in the “Old Irrigation League.†It is the desire of the Donors to provide financial aid to preferably a catcher, or to other baseball positions at Lubbock Christian University.

Dr. Boyer sought to encourage young men to strengthen their life of Christian service and served as a mentor and friend for many young Christian leaders. This scholarship was established by Carla Chance and Cathy Privitt in memory of Gordon Cargill. Mr. Cargill was a faithful and dedicated employee of Lubbock Christian University for seventeen years. In that time, Gordon modeled a faithful servant of Jesus Christ; influencing students, staff, and faculty with his words and deeds.
