Functional Title: Administrative Assistant

Reports To: Director of Athletics
Primary Function: Provide administrative support
Major Duties:
- Provides high-level administrative support to the Director of Athletics, including calendar management, scheduling, and meeting preparation.
- Manages office operations and provides clerical and administrative support to the AD and staff.
- Liaison for daily communication on behalf of the AD, including the coordination of necessary meetings.
- Supports the office with contact reporting, expense reports, and follow-ups.
- Assists with the preparation of presentations, reports, and materials for internal meetings, donor visits, and formal athletic department updates to key stakeholders.
- Takes notes during meetings, tracks action items, and ensures timely execution of follow-up responsibilities.
- Assists with fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation and stewardship.
- Collaborates with other departments on campus and outside constituents.
- Maintains strong working relationships with campus departments such as Advancement, Admissions, Finance, and President’s Office.
- Maintains confidential personnel files, evaluations, and contract records in accordance with university policies.
- Supports special projects, strategic initiatives, and reporting needs by gathering data, developing presentations, and coordinating across internal teams.
Other:
- Become familiar with university and athletic department processes, policies, and procedures to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, sensitivity, and security when handling personnel, student-athlete, and departmental data.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Director of Athletics and overall athletic department initiatives.

- Comfortable representing our office to coaches, donors, faculty, and external partners
- Ability to stay on task and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Professional attitude and appearance are necessary
- Read, understand, and consistently apply and adhere to LCU policies and University department procedures
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Collegiate Athletic Experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will be required to do the following:
- Be ambulatory around campus and in buildings.
- Required to regularly sit and stand.
- Frequently use wrist, hands and/or fingers to make small repetitive movements such as typing, distributing mail and picking up small objects.
- Ability to talk frequently to convey detailed and/or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly.
- Be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive verbal information.
- Required to lift packages and/or move heavy objects, 25+lbs.
