College of Business:
The LCU College of Business offers undergraduate degrees through two academic departments – Business Administration and Integrated Business Technologies, Communication, and Marketing, and one graduate degree through Business Administration. The Department of Business Administration offers bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Agribusiness, Economics, Finance, and General Business, and a master’s degree in Accounting. The Department of Integrated Business Technologies, Communication, and Marketing offers bachelor’s degrees in Digital Media Applications, Information Systems and Technology, Integrated Marketing Communication, Management of Information Systems, Media Communication, Strategic Communication, and Web Design. The College of Business is the largest academic area at LCU with 260+ students and is accredited by ACBSP.
Major Responsibilities:
The LCU College of Business consists of two separate departments. The Business Administration Department offers bachelor’s programs in Accounting, AgriBusiness, Economics, Finance, General Business, Management, and Managerial Leadership (online). The Integrated Business Technologies, Communication, and Marketing Department offers bachelor’s degrees in Information Systems and Technology, Management of Information Systems, Web Design, Digital Media Applications, Communication, and Marketing. The College of Business also offers a Master of Accounting program. The College of Business is the largest academic unit at LCU with 400+ students and is accredited by ACBSP.
Major Responsibilities:
Ideal applicant should be experienced in developing academic programs and have experience teaching traditional in-person classes and in the online environment. Applicants must be committed to being an exceptional teacher who values mentoring and advising students. A normal teaching load will be 24 hours per academic calendar. Scholarly activity, service, and other responsibilities as assigned are also expected of the successful applicant.
In addition, successful applicants will be expected to:
- Advise and mentor students.
- Working cooperatively with a small, dedicated, and close-knit faculty and staff within the College of Business
- Participate in departmental class scheduling
- Participate and collaborate with colleagues in curriculum review and program assessment.
- Possess and exhibit qualities of professionalism, integrity, self-motivation.
Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Digital Media, or other technology-related fields. Persons without a doctorate but with a master’s degree, relevant experience, and a commitment to pursue a doctorate in a technology related field may be considered. Applicants with significant industry experience, an interest in teaching, and with academic credentials would be considered. The successful candidate will have prior teaching experience at the university level including both traditional and online delivery. All qualified applicants must be professing Christians and be willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university.
