Alpha Chi Honor Society is a national coeducational academic honor society. Since 1922 its purpose has been to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction.
Juniors and seniors in the top 10% of their class, with a GPA of at least 3.75 may apply for membership in Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. Members enjoy a lifetime membership and special recognition upon graduation. The LCU chapter meets for a candle-lighting induction and elections in the fall, and a year-end gathering in the spring.

The Kappa Delta Pi Educational Foundation, founded in 1980, provides a variety of scholarships and grant programs for members. Awarding funds for academic study is the primary purpose of the Foundation. Annually, the Foundation along with KDP chapters award $80,000 in scholarships.

The Purpose of Phi Alpha Honor Society is to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work.
An undergraduate student is eligible for membership after achieving the following national requirements and meeting local chapter requirements.

Sigma Tau Delta is the National English Honor Society. Lubbock Christian University's chapter was founded in 1998, and inducts eligible members who are majoring in English and have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA. Sigma Tau Delta features annual publications of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction works by members in The Sigma Tau Delta Rectangle. The society also publishes The Sigma Tau Delta Review, in which it showcases members' critical writing.
