The purpose of Zeta Gamma is to provide an opportunity for fellowship and service that is glorifying to our God. Our goal is to encourage one another and build relationships that are rooted in God. We want to uplift each other and provide an outlet for encouragement, accountability, and growth. We will strive to exemplify Christ through our actions and words, representing this club and University well. The women of Zeta Gamma shall be models of respect, strength, humility, and love.
Zeta Gamma was established in 2007. The Greek letters Zeta and Gamma were chosen to mean Godliness and service. Zeta strives to remain rooted in Christ, but also to continue growing in Him. This is why our club symbol is a tree. Christ is our root, and then we, all connected by this, are the branches of the tree. Each year we excitedly graft new branches into our tree, as we continue to grow. As for service, our club works to take the position of a servant in everything we do. We partner with different organizations each year to perform service projects, such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, but we also desire to be servants in our daily lives. Zeta does not have a brother club, but we do have beaus chosen each year from each men’s club and one independent.
Thank you for visiting our page! Whether you are a prospective student, current student, member, or alumni, we appreciate you checking us out, and we hope you enjoy what we have put together! My name is Taylor Phillips, I am a Senior Missions major and I am the president of Zeta Gamma this year. Here is an update on where the ladies of Zeta Gamma are today. We currently have about 55 active members with quite the mix of personalities! We are a community of bubbly, happy, nerdy, hilarious, strong, extroverted, introverted, God-loving, cupcake eating, Happy Birthday singing, follies facing, lovely ladies! We love food, follies, God, and each other.
We continue to encourage each other to remain rooted in Christ. We also work to keep aspects of service in our club. Our chaplains are currently hard at work getting service projects together. Zeta in years past has jumped around in reference to service projects, so our goal this year is get plugged in to a few local places consistently. We want to build relationships and work to become regular servants at these places. We amended our constitution this year, because we needed to do some housekeeping since we just turned ten years old! Additionally, we added a new office: Alumni Relations. So, Alumni, please get to know sweet Sara Hill, she is here for you! She will be posting on the Alumni page and planning things for y’all. Last update, we won Master Follies last year! How exciting! We hope to see y’all at Follies this year (February 9th and 10th), our directors are hard at work and have some great ideas!
I would also like to say a quick thank you to our wonderful sponsors. You all are such a blessing and we appreciate the wisdom, love, and support you bring to Zeta.
A Note to Rushees: Enjoy the Rush season! Take it all in and don’t make up your mind too fast! Stay open to the opportunities that are available! Be yourself, you do not have to prove anything to anyone. You are so loved!
Thanks again for visiting our page! If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me! May the Lord bless and keep each of you!
