Campaign Priorities

All priorities focus on improving the university’s ability to impact students through new and improved facilities for academics, student life, residences, and athletics; increased financial aid to deserving students; and increased funding for faculty development. Campaign funds will be used to accomplish four broad objectives:

1. Sustaining Academic Excellence

LCU has a deep tradition of excellence in its academic programs. This initiative will provide vital investments in the University’s academic programs and infrastructure to ensure that the faculty and staff and future generations of LCU students are able to sustain academic excellence in every discipline. The other initiatives described below will further advance the University’s academic offerings.

2. Strengthening Community

At LCU, a student’s education extends beyond the books and classrooms. Indeed the authentic Christian community offered by the University shapes and forms students through their experience living on campus, engaging with faculty, staff, and fellow students in the SUB or coming together to cheer on the Chaps. LCU feels more like a family than anything else and this initiative includes four priorities for creating spaces that will facilitate and encourage even greater opportunities for strengthening the ties that bind us. We seek to refresh and update our residence halls and make needed improvements to our athletic facilities. Find more detailed information about the Competing for Christ LCU Athletics Campaign.

3. Endowing the Future

Gifts to the LCU Endowment secures the University’s future, providing annual funding to support critical priorities and needs. This initiative features three key areas of focus: (1) endowed student scholarships to provide increasing levels of financial assistance to students, ensuring that an LCU education is accessible to families with financial need; (2) endowed faculty development funding to provide greater support to LCU’s talented and devoted faculty for their teaching, scholarship, and professional development; and (3) endowed academic programs to sustain and enhance the University’s academic offerings.
