In an effort to increase affordability and access to Christian higher education, Lubbock Christian University has implemented a plan to guarantee 100% of the cost of tuition and mandatory fees to new entering first year students who are Texas residents and are full Pell Grant eligible.
Eligible students must apply, be accepted for admission, and have a complete financial aid file to be considered for the LCU Guarantee. To meet eligibility requirements, students must enroll full-time and live on campus. The LCU Guarantee will be paid by a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds. Examples of these funds include, but are not limited to: Pell Grant, TEG, SEOG, scholarships etc.
The LCU Guarantee makes Lubbock Christian University the most affordable and accessible Christian university in the state of Texas.
- Must be an entering freshman.
- Must be eligible to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Must be a Texas resident.
- Must be full Pell Grant eligible.
- Must enroll full-time (at least 12 hours) in consecutive Fall and Spring semesters.
- Must apply, be accepted for admission and have a COMPLETE financial aid file prior to August 1 of the academic year in which you submit your FAFSA.
- Must live on campus.

No. Once the student submits a COMPLETE financial aid file, the Financial Assistance Office will identify all eligible students.

No. To qualify for the LCU Guarantee, students must be eligible to complete a FAFSA and be a resident of the state of Texas. While prospective international students do not meet eligibility requirements for the LCU Guarantee, they are eligible for other forms of institutional aid, such as LCU’s West Texas Promise.
