What do Dentists do?
Dentists identify and treat patients’ issues with teeth, gums, and other oral-related concerns. Dentists also make oral-health recommendations to patients. Click here for a full description of what Dentists do.
What is the job outlook?
Employment growth for Dentists is projected at 19 percent from 2016 to 2026, which is much faster than the average for all occupations. Demand for Dentists is driven by baby boomers, who will likely require more complicated dental procedures as a result of keeping their teeth longer than past generations.
