ChapDesk
The ChapDesk has served as the IT Help Desk at Lubbock Christian University since 2009. By employing student workers, we allow our technicians the opportunity to connect with students and professors in a unique way. Our technicians come from a variety of academic fields, including engineering, teaching, and of course, information systems and technology. Our goal at the ChapDesk is to provide a superior customer service experience, and to help students, faculty, and staff be successful through the use of technology.
Our Vision
The mission of the Lubbock Christian University Technology Services Department is to empower collaboration and communication to achieve academic and administrative excellence through the strategic use of people, processes, and technology. The Technology Services Department will be acknowledged as an outstanding resource for technology services on a technologically advanced University campus through teamwork, expert knowledge, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
Each student is given $25 per long semester (Fall & Spring) and $8 for short terms (Summer) for printing.

Printers/copiers are available in all the buildings on campus.
You have access to your print account anytime you are logged in to the LCU network. To access your copy account, log in to the interface on copiers using your LCU login information.
Web Printing
You can also print from your own laptop, iPad, or iPhone using Web Print. Simply login to the Web Print interface, upload your document, select your printer, and send your print job.

LCU is proud to offer secure Wi-Fi access in our buildings and around campus. Stop by the ChapDesk to ask about getting connected.
At different locations around campus, if you see one of the stickers that reads "Wifi Sweet Spot," this indicates that you are in an area with a particularly strong Wi-Fi connection. For the best wireless connection, try linking to the internet at one of these locations.
Here at ChapDesk, we offer support for any computer troubles that you may experience on our campus. From minor questions to complete computer failure, we have personnel who can assist you, or point you to someone who can.

Chaplink is the main hub of all online resources. You may access Moodle, Webmail, and much more, all from Chaplink.
Software Offered
The full version of Microsoft Office 365 is available for free to all currently enrolled students. It includes:
A free version of AVG antivirus software and Office 2011 for Mac is also available.
