Network Information

LCU_Residential Wi-Fi Network
  • A network for residents in Johnson Hall, Katie Rogers Hall, Mabee Hall, Gullo Hall, Courtyard, and all campus apartments.
  • This Wi-fi network utilizes a Private Pre-shared Key.  Each resident will receive a personal password to join their devices to the Wi-Fi.
  • Passwords will be emailed to the user at the start of the academic year and upon request.
  • Emails will be sent from Extreme Networks – no-reply@extremecloudiq.com
LCUWifi
  • A network for Faculty, Staff, and Students in academic buildings.
  • Wi-Fi will work with laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
  • Join the network by choosing LCUWifi in your device Wi-Fi settings.
  • Use your LCU email address and password when prompted.
    • MacOS and iOS
      • Enter your LCU email address and password
      • Certificate warning will prompt – Choose Trust
    • Android OS and Chrome OS
      • EAP Method – PEAP
      • Server Certificate – Default or System Certificate
      • Domain suffix – lcu.edu
      • Identity – LCU email address
      • Password – Your email password
      • Save
    • Windows OS
      • Enter your LCU email address and password
      • Certificate warning will prompt – choose connect
LCUGuest
  • This is an Open network and should only be used for guests on campus.
  • This network is available in the following areas:
    • Cardwell Welcome Center
    • F.W. Mattox Administration Building
    • Starbucks
    • Chap Desk
    • Ling Science Building Atrium
    • Baker Conference/Bozeman Room
    • Tracy Mack Conference Room
    • KLT
  • Faculty and Staff can request guest network availability for events outside of the listed areas by contacting the Chap Desk.
Do Not Block Stickers
  • Do not cover or hang items on Access Points. Access points generate heat and can result in a safety hazard.
  • Do not block the access point with heavy metal objects, microwaves, or mini fridges. Please allow at least 3ft of clearance from these objects as they can impede the wi-fi signal resulting in degraded performance.
  • Furniture should not rest against the access points. Give some clearance to the device to avoid damage and performance degradation.
