Art Exhibition Features Fourteen Alumni Artists

Lubbock Christian University’s 12th annual Art Exhibition Alumni Show is among the many Homecoming festivities taking place this weekend. The art featured in the show is a compilation of works in two-and-three-dimensions from past LCU students and faculty.

Associate Professor of Art Education, Dr. Michelle Kraft, gives insight on the talent featured in this year’s Exhibition, “Fourteen artists, spanning classes of 1959-2013, are featured in the exhibit, including works by award-winning art educator Ronelle Howell (’04), Pepperdine Professor Emeritus and nationally renowned artist Bob Privitt (’59), Roswell Museum of Art Artist-in-Residence Miranda Howe (’93), nationally recognized Western painter Jim Bob Swafford (’61), and many others.”

The exhibition will run in the LCU Art Galleries located in the Diana Ling Center for Academic Achievement from now until the afternoon of February 8. A reception for the exhibition will take place in the galleries on Friday, February 7, from 5:30-7pm in conjunction with Homecoming Weekend. Visitors can meet the artists at the reception.
