Entrepreneurship is an intriguing, yet powerful word that instills interest the moment it is spoken. The sensation of being an independent business owner is one rarely matched by anything else in our organizational, buzz-filled society. With a lot of businesses moving into the realm of start-ups, branching off, technological pursuits and creative ideas running through our new age of gadget-driven work, it was time for LCU to release its take on entrepreneurship.
Enactus, a student-led organization dedicated to enhancing the awareness of entrepreneurship and small businesses, is in the process of hosting their Second Annual Chap Tank competition, which will take place on campus with some of LCU’s most creative students at the helm. The competition called on all students to submit their ideas for business-related products or any other creative idea they might have. Currently, the students are working with personal advisors to build the résumé’s of their product, as well as creating financial projections for their mock start up.
For students unable to participate in Chap Tank this year, an opportunity is available to watch the final round of presentations on Thursday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in the Baker Conference Center. A panel of judges will be providing feedback and awarding prizes for the best ideas of the year. Please come and show your support for these great minds as they take the first step on what could be the start of an influential entrepreneurial expedition.
