Matt Joyner presents his plenary address at the Scholar's Colloquium

Scholars Colloquium Honors Tradition of Scholarly Research and Academic Community

The LCU Scholars Colloquium annually serves as a forum for undergraduate research and scholarly presentations by LCU students.

This year, guest presenters Crystal Silva-McCormick and Dr. Matt Joyner delivered keynote addresses at Lubbock Christian University’s 2017 Scholars Colloquium.

“The colloquium has become a grand tradition of honoring our students and faculty for their research and a way to show the larger community that the academic quest at LCU is strong and vibrant,” said Dr. Stacy Patty, dean of LCU’s Honors College and professor of religion.

Beyond the keynote addresses, more than ninety presentations and posters were part of the Colloquium, a combination of seniors doing capstone projects and other students presenting findings from their scholarly undergraduate research. LCU faculty also presented their findings from their long-term research projects.
