Lubbock Christian University (LCU) welcomed back alumnus Dr. John Delony for The Dr. John Delony Show: Live! at LCU in the McDonald Moody Auditorium.
Dr. Delony, a bestselling author, renowned mental health expert, and host of The Dr. John Delony Show—a program followed by over 2 million nationwide—brought his expertise, humor, and encouragement to the stage in front of a packed auditorium. This special event was styled after his nationally recognized show, and attendees experienced candid conversations, audience participation, and Dr. Delony’s powerful insights on mental health, relationships, and emotional wellness.
A well-known Dave Ramsey Personality, Dr. Delony’s return to campus represented a meaningful “homecoming” as he continues his mission of equipping people with practical tools to live healthier and more connected lives.
“Returning to see friends and family, former professors, and the new students at LCU has been an amazing homecoming,” Dr. Delony shared. “It reminded me of all of the love, connection, and laughter as I got to see some old friends. Coming home to LCU has been like a much-needed exhale—it’s like walking in the front door of an old friend’s house, and they’re really happy to see you. It’s been an incredible blessing.”

In addition to The Dr. John Delony Show: Live!, Dr. Delony also served as the keynote speaker for LCU’s Business as a Calling luncheon, presented by the LCU College of Business and the Center for Faith and Business and sponsored by UMB (formerly FirstBank & Trust), the following day. The sold-out event featured Dr. Delony tackling the challenges business leaders face when mentally and emotionally tapped out—and how to lead with clarity, purpose, and resilience.
