The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art with Emphasis in Graphic Design at Lubbock Christian University focuses on preparing the student for the field of advertising design, public relations, and design with mass media. Through this degree plan, students engage in a major core of Art coursework (including studio art and art history), with a 30-hour emphasis in design coursework including a Mac environment.
Sample courses include Multimedia, Typography, Document Design, Digital Video, Advertising, Illustration and Visual Systems. Capstone senior experiences are Senior Seminar Portfolio Development and the Communication internship in which students complete 120 hours of field work in a design-related business.
