Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, is a city of nearly 1.5 million people and offers a safe environment with relatively low crime rates and an efficient public transportation system.
You will live three blocks from the major international bus station Tres Cruces, which provides inexpensive transportation to major metropolitan areas throughout South America.
You will also experience Montevideo's rich cultural heritage, which includes a newly renovated performing arts center for opera, symphonies, theater and numerous museums.
