If you answered yes, then the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is the degree plan for you. Social workers truly touch lives, empower people and strive to help individuals, families and communities overcome their challenges.
Social work is a profession of licensed individuals with a strong desire to help improve people's lives. Social workers are trained to help people cope with daily challenges in their relationships, families, and the community at-large. Social workers advocate for better services, social policy and engage in community development as well as research of social issues.
Social workers value services to others, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity and competence (NASW, 2006).
