After working in academia for more than 15 years, Kimberly decided to continue her studies and returned to school full-time in January of 2011. She graduated from Lubbock Christian University (LCU) in May of 2014, earning her B.A. in Technical Communication, with an emphasis on grant-related topics. Upon completing her internship at the Lubbock Area Foundation, she moved agencies within the non-profit arena and currently holds a position at the Lubbock Area United Way.
Kimberly is originally from Big Spring, TX, but has lived in Lubbock for over 30 years, so this is where she calls home. As an avid traveler, she has seen many cities and countries so when she was offered the chance to study in Oxford, England, she packed her bags and lived abroad for four months. Kimberly enjoys meeting people of different faiths and countries, and is passionate about photography and reading as many books as time allows. Her mother has been her biggest advocate for returning to school and Kimberly would not be where she is today without her loving support.
