About Cathy

Cathy Box completed a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in math and science education from Texas Tech University in 2008 and a Master degree in Multidisciplinary Science from Texas Tech University in 2003. She is certified to teach grades 6-12 science. Dr. Box taught high school biology and middle school science in the Tahoka independent School District before coming to Lubbock Christian University in 2008. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Education Department. She is the Region 17 Director for the Science Teacher's Association of Texas (STAT) and also serves as an assessment consultant for area schools.
