Lubbock Christian University and Covenant School of Nursing Partner to Benefit Future Nursing Students

Partnership Program

The RN program at Covenant School of Nursing and the RN-BSN program at Lubbock Christian University have formed a partnership for nursing education. The students will:

  • Complete 8 core courses and apply for admission to Covenant School of Nursing
  • Attend 4 semesters at Covenant School of Nursing
  • Have the opportunity to take additional required courses Bible, Genetics and Statistics at LCU during summer break from Covenant School of Nursing
  • Graduate from Covenant School of Nursing
  • Immediately post graduation begin completing remaining core courses and RN-BSN courses
  • Depending on the number of core courses needed, students can complete BSN degree plan in 1 year
  • Be a highly marketable BSN prepared RN
  • Within 12 hours of completion of BSN students may apply to the MSN program and begin MSN courses

Benefits of Partnership

  • Yields a highly marketable, clinically well trained BSN nurse
  • Forty two hours of University credit awarded for Covenant program completion
  • Seamless transition from Covenant School of Nursing to Lubbock Christian University
  • Education costs are comparable or less than other BSN programs
  • Financial assistance available during 4 year program
  • Students are working full time as registered nurses while completing RN-BSN courses
  • Tuition reimbursement at some local hospitals are immediately available for full time RN's
