Primary Function: Develop and coordinate all international academic trips and learning activities.

Global Campus:

Lubbock Christian University invites applicants for Director of Global Campus. The Director of Global Campus will be responsible for developing and coordinating all international academic trips and learning activities. These include the annual semester-long study abroad trip to Spain and short-term trips integral to courses offered primarily in the spring and summer terms. Additionally, the Director of Global Campus will advise the provost on issues related to study abroad programs consistent with industry best practices, the university strategic plan and mission of the university.

Major/Essential Job Duties:

  • Global Campus promotion (program brochures, information sessions, social media, enrollment campaigns etc.) and management of the student application process.
  • Coordinate with academic deans and department chairs to develop, implement, and revise the global campus program to ensure appropriate scheduling and staffing for all off campus travel two years in advance.
  • Schedule all Global Campus courses.
  • Lead the semester long trip to Spain. Arrange all on-site logistics (housing, travel, instructional space, excursions etc.) for the semester long trip and assist lead faculty with on-site logistics for short-term trips each Spring/Summer.
  • Manage the Global Campus budget. Create and manage program budgets, trip deposits, student fees, payments, billing, and international health insurance enrollments.
  • Obtain accurate quotes and serve as the primary point of contact for all Global Campus vendors.
  • Prepare site risk assessments and monitor any risks associated with host countries. Prepare for and manage on-site emergencies.
  • Provide appropriate pre-departure orientation to all program participants (faculty, staff, and students).
  • Advise the provost on issues related to study abroad programs consistent with industry best practices, the university strategic plan and mission of the university.
  • Other duties as assigned by the provost.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a master’s degree, preferably in Bible/Theology, Humanities, Language/Culture, or the Arts.
  • Experience with study abroad programs and processes consistent with industry best practices.
  • Must be proactive rather than reactive, detail oriented, self-motivated, efficient, discreet, and able to meet strict deadlines.
  • All qualified applicants must be professing Christians and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the university. Preference will be given to active, faithful members of a congregation of the Churches of Christ.
